Apocalosophy

Apocalosophy
An Original Poem By: Dream Reamer

What would happen if the world ended on December 21st?
How would it happen?
Would we get hit with a meteor?
Or could it possibly be worse?
Would we be abducted by aliens, experimented on, and probed?
Or would they zap us with lasers before we could know?
Would zombies rise and eat human flesh
And reanimate and be forever unrest?
Will the world end in fire or ice?
If it did, that would suffice.
It makes your head spin thinking of these ends
These thoughts can make your mind twist and bend
No one will ever know for sure
The curiosity causes quite an allure
Many people worry an unbelievable amount
But not me; I’m going to make everyday count.

Highschool: The Epic

An Original Poem By: Scarlet C

Oh high school, oh high school
What have you done to me?
Claimed that you’ve prepared me but only caused me misery.
You’ve left me broken and swearing through all of four years,
My only therapeutic being my daily morning tears.
Clicks swarm the halls reciting their ignorant gossip.
Harsh, juvenile minds form sticky and thick like syrup.
Every single day is some sort of hassles all for a tassel
Luckily for me, this is my last year,
But next year is college,
Even more knowledge
But at least I’ll gain a career.

Growing Up

An original poem by: Temperance

Growing up is a scary thought, but it has to be done.
From friends and school to part-time jobs: Where is all the fun?
Balancing everything can be quite a chore
And sometimes your life may seem like a bore.
Don’t let it drag you down
Make a smile from your frown.
I know all of this weight may cause one to be nervous.
But take comfort in the fact that you’re working towards a higher purpose.

Bugaboo

An original poem by: Justin H.
It Lies Waiting Until You’re Alone,
It Waits To Pounce And Gnaw Your Bones,
To Rip OFF Your Skin And Claw Out Your EYES,
And Chew Out Your Throat To Stop Your CRIES.

It Growls And Howls Like A Thunderstorm,
Your Deepest Fears Have Taken Form.
No Child Is Safe From Its Vile Grasp,
Terrible Face Under Terrible Mask.
IT Drinks The Blood And Wears The SKIN,
And Teeth Like Needles Fill Its GRIN.
IT Opens Its Mouth And Releases Its BREATH,
The STINK Of Decay, The SMELL of DEATH.

Its EYES GLEAM BRIGHTLY IN THE NIGHT,
SO MOTHERS HOLD YOUR CHILDREN TIGHT,
IT’S THERE NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO,
THE CHILD-EATING BUGABOO.

BasketBall

Basketball
By; Sara Elizabeth

Basketball is a sport I have played my whole life, I enjoyed every single minute of playing. It’s a team sport and definitely a sport that you must devote hard work and time to. It is not just a one man show; everyone on the team has to put in the effort and help or else there is no point in playing, you’ll just lose. So if you’ll work hard and work together then your team becomes like a sisterhood or a brotherhood. Basketball doesn’t just build character, it reveals it! How you act after you win/lose a game and act towards other on and off the court says a lot about who you are. My past coaches always used to say “Win or lose, show sportsmanship” that’s why I love the game, because no matter what be good to others is number one. Basketball is a game I will forever love and forever miss.
