Halloween Night

Halloween Night
An original poem by: Temperance

There is something eerie about tonight
Something’s just not right.

The children don’t expect a fright
As they squeal with delight.

The black cats roam
As the ghosts groan.

The witches’ laughs crackle
As the goons break their shackles.

The children trick-or-treat
As the vampires begin to creep.

The zombies start to prowl
As the werewolves howl.

Get ready for a fright
It’s Halloween night!
